Families choose a simple funeral for many reasons. Some want to keep costs down. Some know their loved one would not have wanted a fuss. We offer two simple options in Derby:
1. Simple funeral with a short service
A short service at the crematorium, usually at a quieter time of day, with family and friends able to attend. We provide a simple coffin, take your loved one directly to the crematorium in our hearse, and look after all of the arrangements and paperwork. You can still choose music, a reading or a few words from a celebrant or family member.
2. Direct cremation (no service)
A direct cremation is our most affordable option. Your loved one is cared for and cremated without mourners present, and the ashes are returned to you, or scattered, as you wish. This leaves you free to arrange your own gathering whenever and however you like.

If you would like a fuller service with limousines, flowers, a church service or a horse-drawn hearse, our traditional funerals and burial services may suit you better.
